Random Picture of the Day
What I hope to make a regular post, here is your Random Picture of the Day. This one found posted on the wall above the urinals in a gas station off of highway 400. Not sure what a urinal is? Click here to find out.
Free Music. No Pirates.
dose.ca has partnered with iTunes to bring you a sampling of what dose.ca is calling their artists to watch in 2009. Go to dose.ca/artists, enter your e-mail address and get a code that you punch into your iTunes account to download the 15 track sampler. Pretty cool, huh? Click here to get in on the action.
Want more free (or just plain cheap) music? noisetrade.com has taken a page out of Radiohead's book. They've put together a site where you can download music from varying artists just for telling five friends or by paying whatever you want. Check it out here.
All of the above mentioned music is 100% completely Pirate-free!
While we're talking music, Mat Kearney has a new album coming out May 19. Check out his new single "Closer to Love". Not free, but just 99 cents on iTunes.

No Line on the Horizon
Tuesday, U2 released their newest album, No Line on the Horizon. Here are my thoughts:Solid. The album starts out with a handful of songs that remind me of their work from the 80s (I mean that in a good way) and works its way toward their more recent stuff. In my opinion, the album is not so clearly made up of singles. The songs are great individually but the album as a whole shines. It is great to just put on and listen to the entire thing. Monica commented to me that I was going to wear it out because I was playing it so much. I haven't done that with an album in a long time. One review I read described it as their fourth masterpiece (Joshua Tree, Achtung Baby and All That You Can't Leave Behind being the other three). It very well could be. Standout tracks include: No Line on the Horizon, Magnificent, Moment of Surrender, Stand Up Comedy and Breathe.
Have you heard the album? What are your thoughts?

Here We Go Again
Another blog. Let's hope this one turns out better than my previous attempts. I am hoping that this serves as a place for me to sort out the random mess in my head, to keep family and friends updated and to have a little fun. It will be quite the journey, you're welcome to come along.
While we're on the topic of blogs, Monica and I have started a blog for our baby. You can check it out here.
